Route Notes Valloton and Jangbu Lama ascended to C2 on 6 May for first time. Valloton wanted to try for the summit but there was not enough material. Valloton and Jangbu Lama went back to C2 on 16 May to try for the summit but it was too windy and too cold. They descended to ABC on 17 May. On 25 May she climbed back from ABC to C2. She took about 7 hours. She was on her own. When she arrived at C2 on 25 May at 3 pm she found that her sleeping bag and mattress were gone. As it was impossible to sleep there, she packed up her things and descended to ABC, where she arrived at 6:30 pm (Nepali time). She went straight to Russell Brice's tents as she thought it could have been a mistake on their behalf. Russell's Sherpas were the only Sherpa group she met that day. The previous day Dan Mazur checked her things in her tent as she asked him to do it as she wanted to make sure everything is still there. Dan Mazur radioed to her that all her things were in the tent. But when she got thre on 25 May, sleeping bag and mattress were gone. On her arrival at ABC she talked to Russell's sirdar, Phurba Sherpa, and asked him whether they accidently took her things. He went to find out and when Valloton returned to her tent at ABC all her things had been returned. The next day Phurba Sherpa talked to Valloton and said that one of his Sherpa's had made a mistake and took her things down as he thought it was somebody else's, who had already left the mountain.
