| Route Notes | Team left ABC for C1 on 7 May at 10 am Nepali time. At 1:30 pm they turned back due to bad weather. When they arrived at ABC, they decided to abandon the expedition as both members had problems with their respective families (sick mother). Huisa Garcia could also feel the altitude and on top of it they were having problems with their equipment. The generator broke down on 2nd day which resulted in the cameraman and journalist (BC only) leaving early (24th April). On April arrival in Kathmandu Huisa Garcia's barrel got lost in Cargo and was never found. All in all they were not happy with Thamserku Trekking. Team arrived on 11 May and will leave on 15 May. Sherpas above BC: Mingma Tshering, 25/3/81, Kharikhola, Everest X5 Pemba Nuru, 03/02/72, Pare, Lhotse 15/5/00, Everest (2003 and 2004) Tshering Dorji Sherpa (17/4/85, no Everest Ascents) did not go above ABC due to altitude problems. Pemba Nuru ascended to C3 on 28 Apr and 10 May to deposit oxygen there. |
