| Route Notes | BC at CBC/IC on 12th at 5900m C1 at little lower than North Col. Hill left C3 at 02:30 hours (NST) on 16th, summited at 10:00 hours, stayed on summit about half an hour, descended to C2 where he reached at 16:00 hours. Next day to ABC. Hill showed his summit photograph without clothes waist up. He said he took off clothes for few seconds. Weather was very good, clear, saw Lhotse, Makalu. He saw clouds forming on the east side. About 50 people summited on that day. Hill had to wait for less than an hour at the First Step, two hours at the Second Step (about 30 people were ahead of him), and at Third Step an hour. Hill returned to Kathmandu on May 23 and trying to leave on 25. Mrs Lakpa Sherpa arranged for him two oxygen cylinders and a porter to carry them to C3. |
