Route Notes BC at 5200m CBC/IC on 16th at 5650m ABC at 6400m C1 at 7032m little lower than North Col C2 at 7800m C3 at 8223m top camp lower than usual C3 site. Gauntlett, Harrod, Hooper, McGuirk, McNaughton, Peacock, Mingma Nuru, Sonam Dorje and Nuru Wangchu Sherpa left top camp at 22:30 hours (NST) on May 16. McGuirk had to turn around from 8650m to top camp with Nuru Wangchu due to exhaustion. Gauntlett, Hooper, Peacock, Mingma Nuru and Sonam Dorje reached summit at 07:30 hours on May 17. They spent 1 hour 10 minutes on summit. Harrod and McNaughton reached summit at 09:30 hours. Both of them stayed on top for 20-30 minutes. Everybody had descended to top camp by mid-afternoon. Next day to ABC. Summit day weather was good. Beaucall reached the North Col 7032m and then contracted a chest problem, which did not clear before the summit attempt was made. He remained at North Col. The team returned to Kathmandu on May 24 and left on 26.
