| Route Notes | Summit team left C4 at 8:30 pm on 22 May. Weather was clear and calm, good views from the summit. They spent about 20 minutes on the summit. There were about 10 people on the summit. They descended to C4, where they arrived at 9:30 am. They descended to C2 on 24 May and BC on 25 May. Rigsby got to C1 on 29 April. He spent one night there. When he was climbing to C1 he was very slow (9 hours) and he had high blood pressure. He left BC on 2 May. Tredway got to C3 on 1 May. He stayed for one night on acclimatization trip. On 4 May he was climbing from BC to C2 when he had serious chest pain and pain in the left arm. He and Tumminello descended to BC, where BC doctor took an ECG. By helicopter on 5 May. He is fine now and back in the States. On 21 April Dawa Temba and Lhakpa Tshering and eight other Sherpas were carrying loads over the icefall when a huge serac fell down at 7:30 am and buried them. Dawa Temba, Lhakpa Tshering and Phinjo Sherpa from IMG were killed; the other 7 could dig themselves out.
