| Route Notes | BC at usual campsite C1 at usual campsite C2 at usual campsite C3 at usual campsite. Lem, Pasang Tendi and Pasang Sherpa left BC on May 19 and slept in C2. May 20 arrived in C3. On the morning of May 21, they were told not to continue for C4 by one of the Sherpas belonging to Asian Trek team as the wind situation in high camp was still not good, so they waited till 22nd. Then descended to BC on 23rd. Lem had talk with his wife (in USA) and told her he wants to wait for second try; except for weather everything was good for him - enough oxygen, good Sherpas and himself too was in good shape. But his wife did not approve for second attempt. Lem returned to KTM on May 28 and will leave on 30th. |
