| Route Notes | C1 at top of Icefall C2 at West Cwm High point at West Face of Lhotse. 13 April to BC to rest. 18th BC to C2. 22nd down to BC because bad weather (morning clear, afternoon snowfall) having on one day gone to 6500m at bottom of Lhotse Face. 23-25th rested in BC. 26th April to C2. 28th took C3 gear to 6900m and left it there and returned to C2. 29th and 30 April Dvorsky and Pustal down to C2; Caban slept C3 on 1 and 2 May and all 7 to BC 3rd May. All on 4th May to Deboche to rest. 10 May to Pheriche, 11th BC. 13th May all 3 to C1. 15th to C3; 16th in C3. 17th to 7300m then back very strong wind. -35 degrees temperature so down to C2 and 18th off mountain. 2 members left expedition 8 April, Lukas with chest infection and Vanecek starting to get bad headache from altitude; both never above BC. Fukala was in C2 12-14 April then down to BC with chest infection; down on 14th to Deboche, returned BC after 4 weeks but not again above BC. |
