Route Notes Adrian Crane: BC(04/04,5200m),ABC(09/04,6350m),C1(10/05,7000m),xxx(19/05,7700m) Abandoned at 7700m due to bad weather, high wind, time constraints Left BC 25/05 No Sherpas above BC On May 19 Crane tried to go up for high camp, but the high wind forced him to turn around from 7700m to C1. Crane returned to KTM on 29th and will leave on May 31. Matthew Hood: BC(04/04),ABC(09/04,6350m),C1(20/04,7000m),C2(21/04,7500m),C3(29/04,7900m), xxx(21/05,8500m) Abandoned at 8500m due to bad weather, oxygen not operating Left BC 27/05 No Sherpas above BC Hood left C3 at 9:40 pm (NST) on May 20, reached at 8500m at 7 am of 21st. He found the oxygen mask was not working properly. Weather became bad - high winds. Then Hood turn back to C3 and slept there. Next day to C2 and following day to ABC. While descending on 21st many people were ahead of him and he saw some Sherpas coming down. Hood returned to KTM on May 29 and will leave for home on June 3. Niklas Hallstrom: BC(04/04),IC(08/04,5800m)ABC(09/04,6350m),C1(24/04,7000m),C2(30/04,7700m),xxx(30/04,7700m) Abandoned at 7700m due to bad weather, cold, got sick Left BC 02/06 No Sherpas above BC On May 28 Hallstrom reached up to 7500m, turned back to ABC, snow-boarding from 7500m to ABC. It took him about five hours. Hallstrom said that he did not try to summit and did not like to say anything more. He returned to KTM on June 2 and will leave on June 4.
