Route Notes Rampini went up to C1 3 times and went above it once nearly to C2. He pitched his C1 tent inside area Russell Brice had roped off for his team's campsite; Brice removed it and Rampini shouted at him in anger; Marni Pearsall's Sherpa (Mingma Sherpa of Makalu VDC) pitched it elsewhere. Rampini developed blood clot in one leg but stubbornly refused to leave ABC despite advice from Russian team's doctor. Problem for him was money and he agreed to pay part of cost of vehicle but not half of it (he paid $175 and Marni Pearsall paid the $525 balance). Mingma brought his tent down from C1 to ABC for him. He was very bad tempered and fought off some attempts to help him.
