| Route Notes | BC at Khumbu Glacier C1 at usual campsite C2 at usual campsite C3 at usual campsite C4 at South Col. May 15 left C4 at 21:20 hours Chun and Shim together with Thilen, Dawa Nurbu, Dawa Ongju and Pema Sherpa. Summited at 11:30 hours by Shim and Thilen Sherpa; Chun and three Sherpas came up on summit at 12:45 hours. On summit were member of Greek expedition and two Sherpas from expedition. The first summiters spent about little more than 2 hours and second team about an hour. All descended together to South Col where they reached at 19:00 hours. The weather on summit was unusually good on summit. The members took off oxygen mask, hung gloves just off jacket and they did not have any problem. From South Col to C2 all members. On 19th to BC. Member Cha went up to 7300m on 15th; suffered little headache and went down to C2. Member Han up to C2. Kim Ji-Ho to South Col on 15th; exhausted, decided to go to lower camp by himself. Kuoun up to Lhotse West Face. Lee Ki-Yeong up to South Col; exhausted, went to lower camp. Park up to C2; developed vision problem, went down to BC. Ryu up to South Col; exhausted, down to lower camp. The expedition also was filming their climbing activities for TV that will be telecasted in coming summer. The club was already had four summits and Everest was the last summit which the members had successfully summited. The climbing activities is one of the parts of celebration programme on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Inha University. Shim expressed his gratitude to Nawang Sherpa with one artificial leg who helped him while descending from South Col to C2. |
