Route Notes C1 at top of Icefall C2 at West Cwm C3 at Lhotse Face C4 at South Col. From C4 at 11:00 pm 14th; Cool, Jones, Pemba Nurbu and Pema Chhiring reached top 11:50 am of 15th (Cool and Pemba Nuru), 12:45 (Jones) Pema Chhiri. Thinks were first on summit that day. Back to C4 at 5:15 pm (Pemba Chhiri at 5:15 pm because he ran out of oxygen). 16th to C2. Cool stayed in C2 for Brook, who arrived C2 16th (out of synchronization with others because had mild altitude sickness). Cool, Brook and both Sherpas from BC up to C2 18th, down to C2 19th, C3 again 22nd, C4 23rd and Brook and both Sherpas to top on 24th while Cool stayed at South Col. In this summit bid, left C4 10:00 pm of 23rd; on top 10:00 am together and back to C4 to sleep, on C4 3:00 pm. All down to C2 25th and BC 26th. Oxygen: Cool climbing from C3 to C4 on 13th, from C4 to top and down to balcony, where it ran out on second trip to Col, used it from C3 to C4 very little. Jones from C3 to C4 to top to C4, in C4 and from C4 to C3. Brook from C3 to C4 to top to C4, some in C4, from C4 to C3. Sherpas: Pema Chhiring, 17/12/83, Beding, Everest 5/01, Lhotse, Cho Oyu
