Route Notes BC at CBC IC on April 16th at 5700m ABC at usual campsite C1 at 7100m at usual campsite C2 at 7700m at usual campsite C3 at 8250m at usual campsite xxx at 8500m at just below the 1st Step. Sharp left C3 between 12:30-01:00 hours (NST) on 17th, reached to 8500m at 08:00 hours. Weather was nice and warm. He was tired and thought that it was too late to continue and returned to C3 at about 14:00 hours (no idea about exact time). While sleeping his tent came over the platform on which he had pitched his tent - probably, he thinks, he rolled off while sleeping. There was no wind. On 18th he packed his tent and went down to C1. Then he realized that his fingers were frostbitten and decided to call off his summit bid. He was satisfied with the expedition. He is waiting for his belongings that are in C3. Sharp is trying to leave Nepal as soon as possible (Biman Flight). He returned to KTM on May 25.
Accidents Frostbitten lefthand thumb, righthand thumb, index & middle fingers (same fingers were frostbitten last year almost at same altitude)
