Route Notes C2 at West Cwm C3 at Lhotse Face C4 at South Col. Summit party left C4 for top 11:30 pm 14th plus Kami Tshering (Pangboche) and Phu Nuru (Phortse); Kami Tshering turned back 1-2 hours after leaving C4 with diarrhea and Phu Nuru back later with oxygen problem at the balcony. Summit party to top at 1:00 pm except Flynn, who was slow and Mingma Tshering with him and all in C4 at 7:00 pm and 10:00 pm by Flynn and Mingma Tshering. All to C2 on 16th. Flynn had to be helicoptered out of BC because extremely dehydrated and on I-V fluid: left BC by chopper on 18th. 2nd summit party reached C4 16: Clement, Cross, Khoo, Dunnahoo, Panuru, Mingma Ongel, Dorje Lama and Phinzu left C4 8:30 pm 16th for top: Mingma Ongel's boots too short and dropped out 3 hours later; Cross and Clement stopped just below the balcony tired and oxygen problem, Panuru down with them. Khoo and Dorje Lama stopped at balcony at 2:45 pm, Khoo cold and breathing problem and Dorje Lama down with him. Dunnahoo and Phinzo (Phortse, Mingma Ongdal's brother) stopped below South Summit (Dunnahoo too slow and Phinzu with him). All to C4 for night except Khoo who went to C2. Oxygen: all members in C3 to top to C4 except Khoo, who used none at all. All Sherpas in C4 to top to and in C4. Bramhill left BC 4-5 days after team arrived there, did not go above BC (realized climb was too big a job for him). Matthews left 10 days after BC arrival (went to C1 and spent a night there, then down and left); no motivation. Tucker went onto Lhotse Face, turned back because of bad weather and went no higher.
