Route Notes For the last time Nielsen went up to C1 (thinking to continue for summit) on May 20; weather was bad so he did not stay at C1, but went back to ABC and decided to give up climbing. Nielsen returned to KTM on 27th. He got a seat on plane for May 28. Ganesh from Monterosa told me that Nielsen is suppose to be returning to Marshyangdi Hotel after Nielsen finished cargo to Hotel around 5:20 pm. He told me he had to leave for airport within 15/20 minutes and said that he did not summit. Rest of information he agreed to send by email and wrote his email address and he left for his room with Miss Misheve from Bulgarian expedition who was also waiting for him. Had sent email to Nielsen twice. But no reply received till June 17. The camp information based on the information given by Joseba Sanz from Spain. Nielsen and Sanz worked together most of the time on the mountain.
