| Route Notes | Proos injured his back; next day sent down to ABC and KTM. Loik had to leave ABC on May 16 due to job. May 22: Vilius and Sikk left C4 at 02:00 hours. Vilius summited at 14:40 hours, stayed 30 minutes. Sikk summited at 15:00 hours, stayed about 15 minutes. Both descended to C4. They had to wait at Second Step almost 2 hours. Before them were members from St. Petersberg expedition without oxygen going up almost together. About 30 people were there on summit from both sides - others probably Koreans, Japanese and Chinese. Lai at Second Step got frostbite on left last finger and all other fingers of both hands. The expedition returned to KTM on May 27 and leave on 30 or 31st. |
