| Route Notes | Verdeguer, Urtaran, Rosa and Mingma Sherpa started climbing from C3 at 2 am of 24th May, reached the summit at 9:30 am [10:30 am CST from Spanish reports]. Spent half an hour, took photographs, met one Sherpa who climbed from Nepal side. They came down to C3 at 3 pm and came further down to C2 at 7 pm where they spent night. Sherpa also used oxygen from C3. Rosa turned back at 8650m because oxygen supply finished on 24 May in summit bid. Team returned to KTM from Tatopani just south of Tibet-Nepal border by helicopter on 29 May. Rosa flew back to his country two days ago. |
