Route Notes Perez Alvarez brought down from 8600m and evacuated by helicopter on 28 from Pheriche. Improving condition at hospital at the time of meeting. May 22: Lagunilla Alonso, Ramos Garcia and Rodriguez Sanchez with Perez Alvarez left C4 at 00:30 hours; three summited 12:30 hours, stayed half-hour, 16:00 back to C4. Next day down to C2 and following day to BC. (May 20 BC->C2, 21 C2->C4, 22 -> summit). Oxygen used (by summiters) summit and back to little for sleeping. Adrados Polo left BC on May 20 to join the city who are trekking. The expedition is the first from the city. It is hoped that the success would inspire young climbers from the region, as told by Jaime Rubio. Team returned to KTM on May 29; will leave on June 1. Source of above information leader and Mr. Jaime Rubio Alavarez, son of late Samuel Rubio Castilla. The expedition is named after him.
