Route Notes C2 in West Cwm C3 on Lhotse Face. 20 May tried to reach South Col for summit. Lung infection after soccer game 7 May at bottom of Icefall, so 9 May down to Pangboche for 6 days, but never cured of it and still has rasping voice. Returned to BC 16 May. 17 May reached C2 rested at C2, 19 May to C3 but health deteriorated (no voice), but felt could still go up. But during that night stopped breathing for few seconds because winds pipe clogged by flem but morning of 20th with oxygen went up and stopped at 23,900 ft (just below Yellow Band) because throat worse. Turned down to C3 but later same day tried to go up without oxygen because you have to try, but now only about 300 ft when throat seemed to continue getting worse (wind pipe swelling). Finally again turned back and went to BC same day at about 3:00 pm and knew not likely to get better but thought of trying again on 27th. But on 22nd morning but realized not up to mother lord and quit. Was an independent team but climbed with other "independent."
Accidents Warden got food poisoning 1 May, got cured 4 May and up to C2 for 2 days
