Route Notes BC at usual site C1 at top of Icefall C2 in West Cwm C3 on Lhotse Face C4 at South Col. C1 - spent two nights 11-12 April, then down to BC. C2 - spent 17-19 April, then down to BC. Again on 29 April from C2 to C3. May 2 to BC May 16 to C1 (storm) May 17-18 to C2 May 19 to C3 May 20 to South Col May 21 left C4 at 23:00 hours, summited at 10:30 hours on May 22. Spent night in South Col. Placed on summit flag with Iranian flag and American flag. Leaving Nepal on June 1. 28 Aug 01 - Toossi said he used oxygen in C4 from time to time, continously from C4 to top and down to balcony then oxygen finished. Used again sometimes in C4 till descent 23 May. Chewang Dorje also used oxygen to go to summit. I left BC for the summit on the morning of the May 16. I spent the night of the 16th with Ana Czerwinska in C1 due to storm. I arrived at the C2 at 10:00 am of the 17th, spent 17th and 18th at C2. I left C2 on the morning of the 19th and arrived at C2 at 12:00 noon. I left C2 on the morning of the 20th with oxygen at 11 am to practice the usage. Arrived at C4 at 1:30 pm. The Sherpas arrived after 4:00 pm so by the time I was in the tent and resting it was 6:00 pm. I delayed the summit attempt to the 21st because of the weather condition and lack of rest. I was using very little oxygen at this time about 10 min every 1.5 hours. I left C4 with a fresh bottle of oxygen for the summit at 10:30 pm. I changed the bottle at Balcony at 5:30 am. I spent 30 min without oxygen. I arrived at the summit at 10:30-45 and spent 45 minutes on the summit without oxygen. I began the descend at about 12 noon. I separated from my Sherpa after South Summit near Balcony. I ran out of oxygen shortly after that and I met David Hahn at about 4:30 pm below Balcony. I walked down with him to the South Col. At the South Col I had a fresh bottle of oxygen to use. I think I used 4 bottles of oxygen total and one was used by my Sherpa. My Sherpa had his own oxygen also but I don't know how many he used.
