Route Notes C1 at West Cwm C2 at Lhotse Face C3 at South Col. 28th April both up from C2 and to 7000m and down because stormy weather, so same day to BC and next day to Deboche village. Returned to BC 5 May and up from BC 6th May to C1 and 7th May to C2 site to find tent left there, but couldn't find it made snow and down to BC. Now decide to climb Everest without camp on face because cwm and col safe. 10 May Urubko to C1 and 11 May went to Lhotse face campsite where had left much gear but still not found and down to C1 where Moro arrived that day. 12 May both went to Col and established camp. Went without sleeping bags because loads heavy and not good acclimatization. 13 May to BC and 14th to Deboche. 19 May again at BC and 20th from BC to C1. 21st to South Col there slept soundly. 23rd up to 8050m and there Moro vomiting from bad food, back to Col again. 11:30 pm of 23rd up from Col and for first time Moro only used oxygen from American expedition and 24th 8:00 am Urubko on top and Moro at 9:00 am (had to pull himself up ropes because his jummar did not fit other's fixed ropes). Returned to Col that day passing 10 climbers exhausted in ascent attempt, sitting/lying in snow unable to moves and asking please "please help me." Moro took off oxygen mask which he didn't like. Slept again for the 4th night at Col and next day to BC. 23rd decided not to try for Lhotse because Moro had been sick. Moro used oxygen on Everest because he had been sick; Urubko did not use oxygen.
