Route Notes BC at Pangbuk Glacier C1 at foot of SE Face High point at East Ridge. From C1 climbed SE Face to East Ridge and along East Ridge. Tried for top on 12 March from C1 by 3 members, but only to 6000m because getting late and back to C1. 2nd attack on 18 March by 3 members and 2 reached 6132m than very tired and back to C1. No more attempts because difficult snow and ice ridge and near summit snow and ice face. "Not so difficult but difficult for us." Difficult traverse and snow and ice between 6132m and top. Fixed 500m rope from high camp (C1). Lhakpa Chhiring from Lokhim to C1 only. 18 March Demoto and Nakajima only reached high point; Tanaka to 5700m where he hit his back side against rock while attached to fixed rope and bruised himself, so down to C1. Nakajima would like to go back to mountain via same route but with 10-member team.
