| Route Notes | BC on trail to Dhampus Pass, south of point 4908m ABC on trail before Dhampus Pass. 11:00 pm on 18 April Go In-Gyung, Hong Sung-Taek and Park left ABC to climb to top and reached top on 19th at 7:20 am via SE Face, which became steep in last 150m. On 16th all 4 male members attempted to climb from BC via a line between SW Ridge and a SW Spur but last 100m because nearly vertical rock face, too difficult technically for Go and others; turned back at 5700m. Keeley returned to Tukuche Village after 2 days of not acclimatizing and Dunn the same after 3 days; Lambert left 18th with altitude sickness. All members reached ABC. Route on SW Face, a new line; did not go to top via a ridge Go chose Dhampus because he wanted to reach at 6000m summit. Thapa Peak and Dhampus are same - there is only one peak there, not two peaks. |
