Route Notes ABC at middle of the glacier High point at NE Ridge. Started attempting on 27-28 without much progress due to bad weather and strong wind. Last attempt was on October 5. Reached the highest point and had to abandon due to meter-deep snow obstructing the route and wind. - Had to pitch deposit camp/ABC waiting for good weather (Japanese expedition also had this camp at the same site). - Strong wind also made difficult in making way. Every time the climbers had to cut the way. - Member Emilio Gonzalez returned from BC on October 1 due to asthma (leader told me due to tobacco smoking). - Luis said probably next expedition will be on Annapurna. - Expedition leader: The name was changed in the permit as the actual leader (Aguirre) was not having the membership certificate of Basque climbing club/federation with him at the time of issuing the permit in Kathmandu. - The leader expressed satisfaction of the expedition - expedition members were very good, good sherpas, praised the good service of the handling company - They were trying to fly out to Lukla following days. - Have not decided the date of their departure from Nepal.
