Route Notes C1 at NE Col. Took one week to get all loads to BC from glacier, where most porters dumped loads. Slept only once or twice at deposit tent in beginning. 10th Oct 3 left C4 at 7 am and reached summit 13:15 by 2 members and 14:30 by Kirsis in good weather except wind. Bernans, Busenbergs and Lapselis a few days later started moving up for summit bid but did not reach C3 because 3 not in strong enough condition, so returned to C2. One member (Kulis) stayed a day in C2 waiting to go up to bring down C3's tent but weaker and in descent slipped, hit his shoulder and broke a couple of ribs but was able to trek out; fell from about 6400m.
Accidents Kulis fall; Janekalns pneumonia but returned and went up to C2
Achievement 1st Latvian citizen to any 8000m summit
