| Route Notes | Approach: By helicopter to BC. BC 12/04 4600m C1 16/04 5850m C2 17/04 6800m C3 18/04 7400m HPt 18/04 7400m by Soria, Urqui, Mikel Sherpa and other Sherpas. On 18/04 Carlos and his team reached C3 and they were planning to go for the summit on 19/04. However, it was snowing and Carlos was not feeling his best. He could not drink or eat at C3 and when the weather did not look too good, the team decided to descend. On 19/04 Carlos, Mikel, Luis descended to C1 and on 20/04 they continued to BC to rest. Team stayed at BC until 06/05 and started their summit push on 06/05. On 07/05 they headed towards C2, however, as the wind was strong and the weather very cloudy they decided to abandon the expedition. They reached about 6100m, but then descended to BC on 08/05 and left BC by helicopter on 09/05. Oxygen: taken and during the night at C3 by members and Sherpas. |
