Route Notes On 09/05, all three members reached C3. That night an avalanche destroyed their tent. They survived relatively unharmed, but decided to abandon the expedition. "It was a lot of work, a lot of steep sections, a lot of fixed rope to carry and fix. Heavy backpacks transported on overhanging, narrow chimney where backpack blocked, big snow and buried ropes. Working every second day to keep the schedule until you feel like employed to do this. Constant danger, depending on section, for avalanche, rock fall, falling or crevasse. Sweating all the time, because of effort or fear. When things got easier technically, they were hampered by altitude, with double weight in the backpack and one third the speed of ascent."
