Route Notes C2 at bottom of face C3 at above Dutch Rib at French couloir. Cleo and Pema Tshering made their C1 not at the NE Col like most teams, but across the NE Ridge to a flat area on the southern side of the ridge. Their C2, C3 and C4 were on the ridge itself. There was a period of very windy weather when they did not climb high, but they were able to make their summit push from 23 May, when they reoccupied C3, stayed there one day, moved up to pitch C4 on 25 May, a day of extremely strong wind. On 26 May they made their final dash to the top. Despite the winds, they left C4 at 7:30 am, traversed to the right to the couloir, away from the ridge, climbed the area of overhanging seracs and small rock plateaus, and reached the summit at 3:21 pm. They were back in C4 at 7:19 pm and spent the night there. On the next day, the 27th, they descended to C1 and on the 28th were back in BC. (Weidlich somersaulted five vertical meters enroute to BC, but not injured.) Weidlich used oxygen from 7850m (300m above C4) to the summit; Pema used none. Sherpa: Pema Tshering Sherpa, 16/6/70, Mathilow, Walung, Makalu-Barun, Annapurna X1, Dhaulagiri X2, Everest X3, Kangchenjunga X2 (including 2011 with Weidlich), Lhotse X1
