Route Notes BC 13 Apr 4700m C1 23 Apr 5800m C2 24 Apr 6700m HPt 10 May 7000m by Waters. Waters was on his summit push and started from C2 at 4 am. The weather was bad and as both Waters and Skog were intending to go to the Khumbu to climb Lhotse, he decided to turn back at about 6 am. He descended to BC the same day. Skog reached C2 on 1 May. She stayed the night, but could not sleep as she was very scared of the avalanches on the mountain. She decided to go down the next day and not go up. On 12 May, they took a helicopter from BC to Kathmandu and then from Kathmandu to Gorak Shep. They arrived at Everest BC the same day. Oxygen: not taken, not used.
