Route Notes BC at Deposit camp on Sept 22 at 5300m. Bonvin, Michellod and Gillioz left C2 at 9 pm on 5 Oct. Michellod and Gillioz turned back at 7500m due to fatigue and upset stomach. Bonvin carried on and followed the Russian steps. He met 5 Russians on the top. The weather was good and he had good views. He descended to C2 where he arrived at 7 pm. The overall conditions on the mountain were not too good due to too much snow. Bitz and Bovier got to C2 but did not carry on due to lack of motivation.
