Route Notes BC on moraine in middle of glacier below icefall C1 little above NE Col C2 on NE Ridge C3 on NE Ridge where ridge turns to right High point at NE Ridge. While Basarrate, Fernandez and Rodrigo going up from C2 to pitch C3 on 11 May, 7280m on NE Ridge, tent poles not well secured to one man's rucksack fell off and down out of sight, so climb finished because tent in C2 broken by heavy snow while members had been sleeping. At this time, leader was resting in BC with stomach trouble. This team climbed with Spanish-Argentinian team, shared BC but had separate food, gas, tents, etc. Were on same permit.
