Route Notes BC at normal site C1 at little below NE Col (same as other teams) C2 below 2 crevasses C3 on NE Ridge just below route; traverse on North Face. 11th Shitate and Yamada tried to go to top, but strong wind forced them back to C3 from 7750m; had gone up with 4 members from Hasino's team. 12th both again up to 7800m when Yamada turned back because stomach problem while Shitate to top; left C3 4:40 am for top at 1:00 pm, only person on top that day. Sure he got to top after slight traverse and couloir and return to NE Ridge - was clear weather.
Accidents Nothing except slight stomach problem for leader
