Route Notes BC at normal site High point at 50m down right side of NE Ridge. Took time to find safe route to C1 because of exposure to avalanches from a lot of snowfall and crevasses. 6 May 1st attempt from C3 for summit by Arnold and Holdener; reached about 7300m on best day for summit but too tired to continue up and slept in C1 same night. 6th May big new snowfall and more light snowfall every day after. In the 30 days at or above BC, only 2 days no snowfall at all. On 11 May Arnold and Holdener up from C3 again, this time to 7600m and then snow too deep (waist-level) to continue; down to C2 and 12th to BC.
