Route Notes BC at split of Changtse and E Rongbuk Glacier ABC at normal site below North Col. No bivouacs. Made single push up South Face indirect line to left of very predominant rock buttress. Not feeling well, other 3 members to 7350m and back because weather seemed to be deteriorating. 4 days later at 10:00 pm Brown alone up and 11:30 next morning reached 7490m, where was very bad wind slab; above that was loose and winds were strong, so down. Others did not go up 2nd push because they were exhausted.
