| Route Notes | BC at Kaphe Khola (point 4100m north) TC on main glacier east of point 4738 at feet of another glaced from Gustang north C1 just west of base of South Ridge C2 on North Ridge of Ghustang North - top of rock wall C3 on West Face of Dhaulagiri III C4 at top shelf above serac band, WSW of point 6921m C5 on SE Face-Ridge SE from middle summit. Very circuitous route because of huge threatening seracs. To get to C5 had to drop down and then go up again second shelf. Was difficulty between every camp and a bit of descent between each camp. Ravens stole food at C4 and C5 leaving 2 men with no food for 2 days. |
