Route Notes BC at 4100m on Kaphe Khola. Were on icefield on upper half of face on 4 May when Manson hit by falling stone and all of face above threatened by stone fall and was hard brittle ice that shattered and had melting ice coming down and did not find fresh snow. Were extremely strong winds. Reckoned weather was changing and when went to BC on (5 May) was thunderstorm and then several days heavy snowfall which could have been fatal higher up.
