| Route Notes | This team climbed independently of US (Sloezen) expeditions whose permit they were on, from ABC to top to ABC but shared facilities at BC and ABC. Jaggi's death very sudden and unexpected - was found dead in tent in C2 morning of 26th with oxygen flowing. Had returned to C2 from summit extremely tired, so was using oxygen in C2 all night; cause of death not clear but 2 doctors at BC thought it probably same kind of irregularity in heart beat. |
