Route Notes C3 at Tichy route (Irish only) C3 at direct route (Brennan only). Prax 1st summiter of expeditions alone to summit: left C2 on 13th at 8:00 pm Nepal time, rested an hour at 7500m camp and on top 14 May at 11:45 am and back to C2 about 6:00 pm. 20 May to top Phenden and Nima Sherpas at 8:30 am from Tichy C3; left camp 3:00 am with Anders, Wildsmith, Falvey and Bate who got to top 12:30-1:00 (and saw Everest) and back to C3. 21 May Pearson and Roach left C3 Tichy route 4:15 am, but Roach turned back at about 8000m at 9:00 am while Pearson to top 11:00 am (no other team to top on 21st) and to C1 at 6:00 pm. Zangrilli top of rock band at 8150m when toes cold; via direct route from C2 just behind 2 Sherpas. Irish were independent party and one unionist and one nationalist got to top and wanted to show could work together and vote for peace in Northern Ireland; they were Bate and Falvey.
