| Route Notes | Three members went directly to C3 from C1 and to top by two of them while Charest did not attempt summit after Russian's death. Summit party left camp 3:00 am and on top after about 12 hours, 1-1/2 hours after left rock band and while Everest in clouds could see were at highest point. Slept in C3 which reached at 7:00 pm. 2nd summit party Charest (again), Martineau and Geveau up to C2 on 2 May but not higher for various reasons and slept in C2 that night of 2 May and down next day and climb finished. Zekri didn't get on well with her team and joined Argentinean, Austrian and OTT groups and got to about 7500m. |
