| Route Notes | Were on Ukrainians permit and worked together in camps (Ukrainians arrived first). Had to spend 5 days in ABC waiting for storm to stop and then Ukrainians to go to top and vacated high camps and for weather again to improve (spent extra day in C3 day of 29th). On summit could not see other mountains or even Tibet but sure were on top because found oxygen bottles and free Tibet banner. Summit party on 30th were Ms. Akinina, Krylov and Russkikh; Russkikh turned back at 8100m because of fingers being frostbitten using video camera. |
