Route Notes BC at the Chinese base camp C3 only for 2 people. Olschuetzer, Walter left BC on 25 April because of high altitude problems. Clear day he saw Everest, Makalu, Lhotse. Rainer reached summit at 11:30 am Nikol & Inhoeger summit at 11:30 am Mayerhofer & Ortner summit at 11:45 am Nikol and Inhoeger climbed with 2 Sherpas from British expedition (the British did not reach the summit only to plateau). On this day 1 Austrian from IMC expedition was on top. First Nikol or Inhoeger made the way, then the Sherpas and the Austrian followed. On the summit was a pile of stones with katas, 100 cms before summiters were pitons and one hammer (25 years old) 40 cm high cross was put on the top by this team. Did not see pole on the summit. Put sticks every 30 meters to find way back. Nikol and Inhoeger were on top in clouds but found cross erected by Rainer on 30 April.
