| Route Notes | On same permit of Americans, but were entirely independant team above ABC. Summit party left C3 at 6:00 am Chinese time on 3 May and were on top at 12:00 noon (on top found picket left by Americans and cross left by Austrians) and Lebedeva saw Everest from that point (she arrived 15 minutes before Ioffe and waited for him. Zoeva arrived an hour afterwards since she not using oxygen. Ioffe used oxygen because had been coughing hard. Khalatian did not go beyond ABC and left expedition on 14 April because he found expedition climbing not something he liked, He left with Agarkova, who had gotten frostbitten fingers on a climb in the Alps just days before leaving for Himalayas; in the cold weather on Cho Oyu, her fingers were getting worse. Ioffe took over leadership in administrative sense, but such a small party did not need a leader really. |
| Accidents | Nothing serious; Agarkova frostbite from alpine climb just before coming to Cho Oyu |
