Route Notes 10th Oct one member to top; left C3 6 am & arrived at summit 12:00 & down to C2 at 3 pm (without oxygen). 13th Oct 3 summiters left C3 at 8:30 am & 2:30 pm on top & to C2 at 4 pm; this Desplan's 3rd summit bid: had tried with Spaniards twice before on 24th Sept & 6th Oct (reached 7700m both times - 24th snow, 6th cold winds). On 12th another attempt by 3 members and Ang Rita's son (Chhewang Dorje) to 8000m and back because of strong wind and very cold as on 6th.
Accidents Desplan cerebral edema after ascent; 2 members & Ang Rita's son frostbitten toes & fingers
