Route Notes Summit bid on 14th May from C2 by Blatter and Joos to 8000m but strong wind stopped them and on down to BC; had started a little late. 20th May next bid successful and final bid on 23rd to 7400m only. 5 members (Ernst, Knorr, Koenig, Oertli, Ruetschi) left BC on 22 May, crossed Nangpa La (told Chinese it was for medical reasons) and flew to KTM from Lukla 27th May. LO didn't mimd.
