Route Notes BC at true Kungshung on Schneider map (next to Catalans) ABC northeast of Nangpa La at glacier C1 near point of 6446m C2 at beginning of face C3 on face. C3 to be established 29th Sep by Bersategi, Umaran and Lasa but 2 turned back near 7500m because of altitude problem and knee problem, so only Lasa actually slept at C3 (only Lasa from this team) and went to summit with Cordona from Catalan team at 2 pm (NST), after French. Lasa slept that night at C3. Cordona had headache and down to C1? - no other summit attempt. Other 3 members actually different team: arrival BC 1-2 days after Lasa party and made higher camps several days (2-3) days later but in same places. Gorrotxategi only to C1 because too much snow; Eguzkiza and Gorrochategui to C2; Eguzkiza on 29th up from C2 but not arrived C3 and went down, having finished climb. French also made C3 at 7500m and over to ridge only above C3.
