Route Notes After 17th May a lot of bad weather: windy and snowfall. Schneider alone to top from C2 because he the only member in condition to make attempt; C3 was already pitched. 25 May left C2 and biv at 7100m in Eitel expedition tent. 26 May occupied C3 on 26th and 27th to true summit and back to C3. Returned to ABC on 28th ("I'm hungry"). 29th had bad accident: Kramer alone reached 1st Summit, was too late for true summit and during descent, fell 10-12m on rocks at 7700m; broke leg badly and rescued by people in C3 saw him fall and heard his calls. 3 members reached him that night and brought him down 100m above C3, survived night and in next 2 days brought down to C1 by 31 May. Tibetans hired to bring him to ABC on 1st June and BC by yak to BC all the way to Tingri. Guggemos and Schumacher brought Kramer to C1, left C1 on 2nd June to go to top; 3rd to C3 and on true summit 4th; back in ABC 5th. Kramer's accident probably prevented 5 more members from reaching summit because of involvement in rescue - so happy he survived. He with Siegers and doctor left ABC 3rd June.
Accidents Kramer's badly broken leg; Siegers' frostbitten toes during Kramer's rescue on May 29 (lose tips of toes?)
