Route Notes Atanas Skatov: Shin from South Korea (Satori team) was also on the summit push with them. Shin turned back at around 8000m at about 3:30 pm as he was very tired. He returned to C2, where he arrived at about 7 pm. Skatov shared a tent with Felix Berg and his client, who left at 2 pm to go down to BC. On 14/05, Skatov left C2 at 1:30 pm. He had been waiting for someone from CTMA to help him carry down the tent, but they never arrived, hence he left so late. He talked to Shin, who was in his tent and told him to go down as well, but he said he did not want to go down. He said he would come later. According to Skatov, a rescue team went up to C2 to look for Shin at 8 am on 15/05. When they reached him, he was still alive, but weak and they gave him oxygen and helped him down to C1, where he apparently died [on 16/05].
