| Route Notes | Team left high camp at 4 am, summited at 10:30 am, then returned to C3 at 2 pm. Weather was sunny. Team started using oxygen at C3. From Romanian blog: https://maiaoutdoor.ro/blog/ionut-stefanescu-adrian-laza-si-iulian-petre-au-reusit-sa-urce-pe-varful-cho-oyu/ The three climbers [from] Neamt peaked Cho Oyu (8201m) on September 30, building upon the window of better weather for the final attack of the ridge. For two days, the weather conditions were unfavorable climb, snow incessantly, 10 degrees in thermometers and risk of avalanches. "I went to Piatra Neamt and Romania" sent climber Ionut Stefanescu camp at 5700m, where he camped with teammates for a week because the Chinese authorities did not allow the descent until 7 October. Julian and Adrian won eight thousands on September 30 at 12.00 and reached 13.30 Ionut without supplemental oxygen. |
