Route Notes BC 15/09 4900m ABC 16/09 5700m C1 26/09 6400m C2 01/10 7133m HPt 01/10 at 7133m between 5-5:30 pm (NST) by Boscan and Tshering Phinjo. All members reached Chinese Base Camp on 15 Sept and slept one night. Lamus felt altitude sickness and returned to Tingri on 16 Sept. Chonchol, Boscan and Tshering Phinjo went on to ABC on 16 Sept. Lamus returned to Base Camp on 18 Sept and then to ABC on 19 Sept. Boscan and Tshering Phinjo reached C1 for acclimatizing on 19 Sept and returned to ABC. Chonchol got altitude sickness at ABC on 20 Sept. All returned to BC, with Chonchol being carried part of the way, where she started to recover. From BC, a jeep took them all to Tingri. Next day, Boscan assessed that Chonchol could return to KTM without them and the trekking agency coordinated her return to KTM via overland. Upon arrival Chonchol went trekking in Annapurna area. Lamus, Boscan and Tshering Phinjo returned to ABC on 23 Sept. On 24 Sept, Boscan, Lamus and Tshering Phinjo reached C1 for acclimatizing and returned to ABC. 25 Sept all rested at ABC. Boscan proceeded to C1 on 26 Sept and stayed for 2 nights. On 27 Sept, Lamus and Tshering Phinjo reached C2 for acclimatizing and returned to C1. All returned to ABC on 28 Sept and rested until 29 Sept. All pushed for the summit on 30 Sept from ABC, however Lamus got diarrhea and returned to ABC with Tshering Phinjo. Boscan and Tshering Phinjo reached C1 and stayed overnight. Boscan and Tshering Phinjo reached C2 1 Oct and spent the night while they waited for Lamus who reached C1 on 1 Oct. During the night of 1 Oct, Boscan heard Tsering Phinjo having trouble breathing and around 3 am Boscan noticed that Tsering Phinjo had a headache and vomited 3 times. On 2 Oct Boscan watched Tshering Phinjo vomit 2 more times and saw that his face was swollen. Boscan radioed Lamus that Tshering Phinjo was ill and they needed to do something. Lamus met Boscan and Tshering Phinjo at 6973m. Tshering Phinjo continued down to ABC and Lamus and Boscan stayed at C1 on 2 Oct. Lamus and Boscan returned to ABC on 3 Oct and all returned to BC on 5 Oct. Snow conditions were good, weather cold. It was snowing when bringing Chonchol out and also snowing when they reached C2 on 1 Oct which made it difficult to see and Boscan had to follow the fixed rope. Oxygen: Taken, not used.
