Route Notes BC 06/09 4900m ABC 09/09 5700m C1 17/09 6300m C2 18/09 7000m C3 28/09 7400m Smt 29/09 by Daniel Gasser, Konrad Gasser, Contreras, Gonzalez del Castillo, Honold, Spichiger, Kusang Sherpa, Lundup, Chhewang Lama at 7:30 am. Summit team and Loidl left C3 at 11:30 pm (NST) on 28 Sept. Weather was clear with 30 kmh winds. At about 2 am, Loidl reached 7600m, but he got too cold and turned back to C3. The rest of the team carried on and reached the summit at 7:30 am. They stayed for about half an hour on the summit. Contreras, Gonzalez and Spichiger descended to C2, where they arrived at 2 pm. Honold descended to C1, where he arrived at 4 pm. Daniel Gasser, Konrad Gasser and Kusang Sherpa descended to ABC, where they arrived at 5 pm. Kraehenbuehl, Wirth, Kober, reached C2 on 18 Sept. Wirth had bronchitis, Kraehenbuehl did not acclimatize and Kober had stomach problems. On 30 Sept everyone was back at ABC. Fixed rope: 200m between C1 and C2. Oxygen: Not taken, not used.
