Route Notes The highest point reached by the expedition was C2 at 7100m, established on 2 October. It was occupied by Calder, Greenan, James, Johnson, Neave, Ross and Rutland, plus Lila Bahadur, Pasang Tenzing, Pema Chhiring and Tshering Pemba. The weather had turned bad during the night of the 1st/2nd October with strong wind followed by three days of heavy snowfall. All members and Sherpas managed to retreat to ABC, and on 5 October the climb was called off. Holland got to C1 with the team on 21 September, but then developed a stomach problem, retreated to ABC and remained there for the rest of the climb.
